Paloma Delicado

Spanish Curriculum Developer & Lead Instructor
“I touch the future. I teach.” – Christa McAuliffe
My teaching journey began in Spain, where I specialized in Math, Science, and AP Biology. For many years, I had the opportunity to work with students at the high school level, developing hands-on science programs and leading successful student research projects. I also earned my first Master’s degree in Biology, which deepened my understanding of the natural world and strengthened my approach to scientific education.
In 2014, my family and I made the life-changing decision to move to Reno, Nevada. After a period of adjustment, I returned to the field of education, initially working as an Assistant CLS supporting students with diverse learning needs. In 2015, I joined Triad School, where I taught Math, Science, and Spanish. Since 2021, my focus has shifted entirely to Spanish instruction, working as the lead teacher and curriculum developer for the Spanish program.
In 2020, I earned my second master’s degree—an International Master’s in Teaching Spanish Language and Culture. I am proud to share that in 2025, I completed my third Master’s degree in Latin American Literature and Its Application to Teaching.
Teaching Spanish is not just about grammar and vocabulary; it’s about opening a door to understanding new cultures, histories, and perspectives. I am passionate about designing engaging, meaningful lessons that help students explore the richness of the Spanish-speaking world while also encouraging curiosity, empathy, and global awareness.
It is a true privilege to share my love of language and culture with students every day, and I am deeply committed to helping them grow as learners and as people.
