Lead Teacher – Science
– K-8 teachers’ license or science-specific license through the state of Nevada
– Teaching science to a classroom of 7-12 students 3x’s a day
– Teaching an enrichment class
– Communicate with parents regularly to discuss students’ progress. This includes a willingness to accept parental input in goals and students’ academic needs.
– Teaching through students’ strengths and supporting their weaknesses using a variety of instructional strategies, such as inquiry, group discussion, lecture, discovery, etc.
– Encouraging students to think beyond the text
– Establish and maintain standards of student behavior needed to achieve a functional learning atmosphere in the classroom by being compassionate, positive, and having an encouraging attitude
– Organizing and participating in student field trips
