José Alvarado

Spanish Curriculum Developer & Lead Instructor
“Being bilingual is a superpower.” – Miguel Cardona
At Triad, Spanish instruction goes beyond a traditional curriculum. Our program is thoughtfully designed to meet and exceed the Nevada World Language Standards while offering students meaningful, real-world opportunities to use the language.
I am Jose Alvarado, a native Spanish teacher from El Salvador, and I have been part of Triad School since 2021, working in different areas of the school. I approach Spanish instruction as both an intellectual discipline and a cultural practice, emphasizing grammar, communication, and the social life of language.
I have taught English internationally and tutored Spanish students of all levels, which has helped me deepen my understanding of grammar, culture, and cross-cultural communication.
I also support Triad through digital content management and student-centered initiatives.
Outside of school, I am an active visual artist, particularly in oil painting, and I see art as a practice that enhances attention, creativity, and interpretive depth—qualities I bring into my teaching.
